Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Monday reported a 29.1 per cent rise in total sales in October.
The crippling strike at the country's largest car-maker Maruti Suzuki India's Manesar plant entered its 13th day on Thursday, with production completely shut down.
In April, MSI had recalled 1,03,311 units of its popular models -- Ertiga, Swift and DZire -- manufactured between November 12, 2013 and February 4, 2014 to replace faulty fuel filler neck.
The company said sales of the compact segment comprising Swift, Estilo, Ritz surged over two fold to 17,409 units
In a filing to the BSE on Monday, Maruti Suzuki India said Suzuki Motor Corporation's stake in MSI has increased to 56.2 per cent from 54.2 per cent due to a share swap agreement with the domestic car market leader to acquire Suzuki Powertrain India Ltd.
