Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Monday reported a 29.1 per cent rise in total sales in October.

In April, MSI had recalled 1,03,311 units of its popular models -- Ertiga, Swift and DZire -- manufactured between November 12, 2013 and February 4, 2014 to replace faulty fuel filler neck.

In a filing to the BSE on Monday, Maruti Suzuki India said Suzuki Motor Corporation's stake in MSI has increased to 56.2 per cent from 54.2 per cent due to a share swap agreement with the domestic car market leader to acquire Suzuki Powertrain India Ltd.
